Membership Eligibility Steps

1. Attend CAM Jam.

2. Complete and sign the membership application.

3. Pay the current membership fee.

Membership Benefits

Individual Members will receive promotional mailings, free access to basic media production training, equipment, and assistance, and the right to vote, in person, at membership meetings, including the annual election of membership representation on the City of Erie Cable TV Access Corporation Board of Trustees.

Organization Members: Each identified person of an Organizational Membership will receive promotional mailings, plus free access to media production training workshops, equipment, and assistance. The organization as a whole receives the right to have one representative vote, in person, at membership meetings, including the annual election of membership representation on the Board of Trustees.

1. I agree to comply with Operating Rules and Procedures. I acknowledge that CAM Operating Rules and Procedures may be amended from time to time by CAM. All such amendments shall be available at the CAM office.  I agree that my use of CAM facilities or resources shall constitute my acceptance and agreement to comply with all of the Operating Rules and Procedures, including any amendments adopted by CAM as of the date of such use.

2. Program material that I will record and/or submit for cablecast will not contain:

• Material designed to promote the sale of commercial products or services.
• Advertising which endorses or opposes candidates for public office which is also intended to be presented as a paid political advertisement or other media.
• The solicitation or appeal for funds for any purpose (unless specifically authorized by CAM). 
• Material that constitutes or promotes any lottery or gambling enterprise.
• Obscene material, as defined by applicable law.
• Material that constitutes libel, slander, invasion of privacy or publicity rights, unfair competition, violation of trademark or copyright, or which might violate any local, state, or federal law. 
• Material that may create an immediate danger of damage to property or injury to persons.
• Material that I do not have permission to use (including copyrighted video, music, etc unless I have explicit permission).

3. I certify that I meet the user eligibility criteria set forth in the Operating Rules and Procedures.

4. I assume full responsibility for the content of all program material cablecast, streamed over the world wide web, or available via video on demand at camerie.org.   I will ensure that such program material will not violate any right of any third party.  

5. I have obtained or, before the program material is cablecast or streamed over the world wide web, I will obtain all required approvals, clearances, licenses, etc. for the use of any program material which I submit for cablecast or streamed over the world wide web, including but not limited to approvals by broadcast stations, networks, sponsors, music licensing organizations, copyright owners, performers' representatives, all persons appearing in the program material, and any other approvals that may be necessary to transmit program material over the internet bandwidth, video and/or audio channels managed.

6. I acknowledge that all program material submitted to CAM can be used in CAM marketing materials at any time, including but not limited to social media marketing, for the purposes of publicizing the program, promoting community programming in general, and providing brand awareness of CAM.

I grant permission to CAM to use my name, likeness, image, voice, and/or appearance in any photographs, or video recordings. digital images, and other media ("Representations"), taken or made for CAM's marketing and publicity activities including, but not limited to, social media channels, website publications, and any promotional or educational materials offered both online or in digital or print form.

I acknowledge that I am not entitled to receive any compensation in money, or another thing of value, with respect to the use of the Representations.

I release CAM and its employees from any and all claims, demands, and causes of action that arise out of, or are in any way connected with such use of the Representations.

I may revoke permission of use of the Representations, only as it pertains to material not yet submitted to CAM, by providing such revocation in writing to CAM. I understand that revoking permissions means that CAM will not continue to use the Representations from the date of receipt of the request with any new marketing or public relations efforts, but that any such revocation will not apply with respect to any existing or past marketing or public relations efforts that made or still make use of the Representation.

7. I acknowledge that CAM strongly encourages me to obtain a homeowner's or renter's insurance policy which includes liability coverage to protect me in the event of a claim or litigation against me as a result of my use of CAM channel space, internet bandwidth, facilities, equipment or other resources.

8. I agree that I shall not represent myself or any other person involved in community use or public access programming activities as an employee, representative, or agent of CAM.

9. In my use of CAM channels, internet bandwidth, equipment, facilities, or resources, I agree to comply with all applicable rules and regulations of Federal, State, and local governments and all other regulatory agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission.

10. I agree to pay the costs of any repair or replacement of equipment or materials resulting from damage, misuse, or theft while such equipment or materials are in my possession or control, normal wear and tear excepted.
